About Us

Preclin Biosystems AG is a privately owned company founded in June 2008, and located at Biopole, Route de la Corniche 4, 1066 Epalinges, Switzerland.

Management

	Founder and CEO: Dr. Bettina Ernst has 10 years of experience working in basic immunology. She spent many years in the U.S., where she obtained her PhD, carried out postdoctoral studies and gained experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. Recently Dr. Ernst has shifted her focus to laboratory management and refined her business expertise by undertaking an MBA. Dr. Ernst’s responsibility in the company is primarily operational management.	Founder and CSO: Dr. Ben Marsland’s scientific experience has focused on discovering novel mechanisms that mediate allergy, autoimmunity, chronic inflammatory diseases and protection against infectious disease. Dr. Marsland was the 2007 ETH Latsis Foundation Laureate and has published extensively in top-tier international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Marsland’s responsibility in the company is tailored towards scientific management.
Advisory Board
	Dr. George Haas is the previous worldwide Head of Research and Pre-Clinical Development of Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals.	Prof. Dr. Nicola Harris is a world renowned expert in mucosal and neonatal immunology working at the EPFL in Lausanne.
